Currently, and since the first days of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the main activity of the Foundation is providing charitable (humanitarian) assistance to the population affected by the war in combat zones and in de-occupied territories of Kharkiv region. Our attention is also directed to internally displaced persons who have lost their homes or fled dangerous areas, as well as to those returning to the country in hopes of rebuilding their lives.
We continue measures to combat human trafficking, labor exploitation, and other forms of violence, particularly against minors and women, which are serious human rights violations and crimes!
We constantly work for the benefit of the Ukrainian people for the sake of PEACE; this pain affects not only Ukraine but the entire civilized world.

Youth Council IV Convocation under the Kharkiv City Mayor (2022 – 2024)
International Organization for Migration (IOM – Ukraine), within distribution programs in Kharkiv region, delivers humanitarian aid to the population, including hygiene kits, household items, and building materials to restore damaged housing and critical infrastructure, as per the program and signed Cooperation Agreement. Aid targets internally displaced persons (refugees) and people whose property was damaged due to hostilities.
From April 2022 to April 2023, significant shipments were delivered to territorial communities of Rogan, Starosaltiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Vovchansk, and others that were de-occupied or in active combat zones, as well as to the Kharkiv Regional Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, to support residents of towns and villages in Kharkiv region.
In 2024, cooperation continues in distributing non-food items in the Kharkiv region.
Americares Foundation, under the Partnership Agreement and received Grant, delivers medicines to hospitals and medical institutions, including the Department of Health of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the regional hospital, and the Grigoryev Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology of NAMN Ukraine, as well as to facilities in de-occupied or combat zone territorial communities.
Ongoing work, under the Memorandum of Cooperation with Foundation For United Nations SDG (FFUN SDG), supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals Agenda 2030, helping disadvantaged children and young adults at risk of exploitation, specifically combating human trafficking and human rights violations.
Libereco – Partnership for Human Rights and Gigahertz Ventures donated buses for evacuating people from regions of Ukraine. Over 2,000 people from Donetsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson regions were transported, including refugees from Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Mariupol, and others.
The buses also deliver humanitarian aid to evacuation points. On return trips, they transport children with parents, pets, elderly, disabled people, and accompanying persons with essential belongings to Western Ukraine.
Evacuation staff provides information on risks such as human trafficking and labor exploitation. Banners and leaflets from IOM inform passengers how to stay safe and provide hotlines in Ukraine and EU countries.
Special trips transport children and adults with special needs to recreation and rehabilitation camps in Lviv region.
Partnership with Estonian company US Invest (Forus Eesti, Forus Taxi Estonia, Rotermanni Kvartal, etc.) donated three all-wheel-drive vehicles (Mercedes-Benz Vito) for humanitarian aid delivery and provided warm clothing and other supplies for the CFSR team.
Our US representatives – Sophia Zhuk, CFSR Co-Founder and project coordinator for anti-slavery and rehabilitation programs, and Thad Cummings, CFSR Special Representative, work to mobilize resources and attract new partners from NGOs and businesses in the USA.

During the first days of the war, Médecins Sans Frontières / MSF provided essential medicines for regional hospitals and children’s nutrition, distributed directly to families and metro stations in Kharkiv used as bomb shelters.
Our CFSR program “Animal Rescue” – Kharkiv assists abandoned and stray animals. Partners and volunteers provide food, medicine, and other aid.
Support is provided to shelters caring for animals during the war and for stray animals requiring evacuation or veterinary aid, primarily in combat and recently de-occupied areas.
