111 Children Returned Home After Recreation at “Artek”: Safe Transportation Organized Through Joint Efforts

On May 11, 2026, the Charitable Organization “Humanitarian Coordination Center,” in partnership with the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” / CFSR, with the support of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration and the Charitable Organization “Charitable Foundation Internally Displaced Person of Ukraine. Kirovohrad Region,” joined efforts to organize the transportation of 111 children following the completion of a wellness session at the State Enterprise of Ukraine “International Children’s Center Artek.”

The children were transported from the Znamianka and Oleksandriia railway stations in Kirovohrad region to Dnipro-Holovnyi railway station. Organizing this trip became an important component of supporting children in the difficult conditions of wartime, as for many of them, participation in the wellness program was an opportunity to temporarily distract themselves from daily anxiety, constant air raid threats, and the psychological burden caused by the war.

Returning home after their отдых, the children shared vivid emotions, warm memories, and stories about new friends, creative activities, sports events, and interesting experiences they had during their stay at the camp. For many, this session became a source of new impressions, support, and a sense of childhood that is so important to preserve even in the most difficult times.

The team of the Charitable Organization “Humanitarian Coordination Center” ensured coordination and escort support for the transportation so that the journey would be as safe and comfortable as possible for the children. Representatives of the organizations met the groups, coordinated boarding, accompanied the children during transit, and promptly resolved logistical issues. Fuel resources were also provided as part of the support to ensure transportation.

Thanks to the joint efforts of charitable organizations and partners, it was possible to organize the safe return of the children and create an atmosphere of care, support, and attention for them.

Supporting children, their emotional well-being, and maintaining a safe environment remains one of the important areas of humanitarian work, especially in times of war. Through joint efforts, we continue to implement initiatives that help children feel cared for, protected, and hopeful for a better future.
