The CFSR Team Attended a Private Screening of the Documentary Film “Dam. The Road of Life”

The team of the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR) had the honor of attending a private screening of the documentary film “Dam. The Road of Life” — a film about events that will forever remain in the memory of the people of the Kharkiv region.

The documentary tells the story of the evacuation of civilians through the Pechenihy Dam in the spring of 2022. During the first months of the full-scale invasion, this route became a true road of life for thousands of people trying to escape hostilities and occupation. It was along this route, under constant shelling, that families with children, elderly people, persons with limited mobility, and pet owners sought safety.

For our team, watching the film was an especially emotional experience. We followed every moment with great attention, recalling the first days and months of the full-scale war, when helping people became the highest priority for hundreds of volunteers, charitable organizations, government representatives, and caring citizens.

The footage brings viewers back to a time when decisions had to be made within minutes and every successful evacuation meant lives saved. Many episodes resonated deeply with us, as our team was also involved in supporting affected populations, humanitarian response efforts, and organizing transportation for people from dangerous areas.

At the heart of the film are real stories from eyewitnesses, volunteers, and people who experienced occupation, the loss of their homes, forced displacement, and the challenge of starting a new life in safer places. These are stories of fear and pain, but also of resilience, mutual support, and humanity.

Particularly moving is the section dedicated to those who gave their own lives while saving others. Their sacrifice will forever remain part of the history of the Kharkiv region and of Ukraine as a whole.

“Dam. The Road of Life” is more than a documentary film. It is an important testimony to events that changed the lives of millions of Ukrainians and to the people who, in the most difficult times, stood by others, helped, and saved lives.

We sincerely thank the creators of the film for preserving this memory and for giving us the opportunity to once again reflect on the value of human life, mutual support, and unity.
