Accessibility, Unity, and Intersectoral Cooperation

On the eve of the National Accessibility Week, the Kharkiv Branch of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center hosted a roundtable discussion titled “Intersectoral Cooperation”, bringing together representatives of the Public Council under the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Kharkiv Region, the Kharkiv Branch of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center, and civil society organizations.
Among the participants was the team of the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR), for whom the issues of accessibility, support for people facing difficult life circumstances, and the development of effective partnerships are an important part of daily work.
This was more than just a working meeting. It was a sincere and meaningful conversation about people, support, and a society in which everyone has the right to be heard, accepted, and valued.
Symbolically, the event took place on Vyshyvanka Day—a day when we especially feel the power of unity, respect for our roots, culture, and one another. Both National Accessibility Week and Vyshyvanka Day remind us of what matters most: humanity, dignity, mutual respect, and equal opportunities for all.
During the meeting, participants discussed important support mechanisms provided by the State Employment Service for combat veterans, military veterans, and persons with disabilities. In particular, the discussion focused on professional training and retraining opportunities, grant programs for starting or expanding a business, and compensation programs for employers aimed at creating comfortable, safe, and accessible working conditions.
For the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR), accessibility is not only about physical access, ramps, or special facilities. It is also about respectful communication, human dignity, the willingness to listen and support, and the creation of an environment free from physical, emotional, and social barriers.
The discussion was lively, sincere, and practical. Participants raised important questions, shared experiences, and jointly explored solutions that can help make the workplace truly open, accessible, and supportive for everyone.
The event gained additional value through its practical component. A psychologist from the Kharkiv Branch of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center conducted a thematic assessment on accessibility and respectful communication. This provided an opportunity not only to test knowledge but also to reflect on personal attitudes toward interaction, support, and respect for the needs of others.
The meeting concluded with a recognition ceremony honoring the staff of the Kharkiv Branch of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center. This gesture acknowledged their professionalism, openness to cooperation, and the important role of the Employment Service in supporting people seeking new opportunities, professional development, and confidence in the future.
We sincerely thank the Kharkiv Branch of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center, the Public Council under the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Kharkiv Region, our partners, civil society representatives, and all participants for their constructive cooperation, commitment, active engagement, and shared vision of the importance of an accessible society.
Together, we are creating an environment in which every person has a place, a voice, support, and the opportunity to realize their potential.
