Education, Youth and Civic Responsibility: United for a Strong Future

Serhii Zhuk, Director of the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR), held a meaningful and constructive meeting with Yurii Zaitsev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Economic Issues, and Strategic Development of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation between the university and the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” / CFSR, which may become a practical foundation for strengthening joint work in socially important initiatives, human capital development, support for people affected by the war, and community recovery.
Special attention was paid to the effective implementation of veteran and youth policy, the development of civic engagement, as well as cooperation in humanitarian and educational areas.
In today’s environment, it is extremely important to combine the practical experience of civil society with the scientific, educational, and expert potential of higher education institutions. Such cooperation makes it possible to build not just formal partnerships, but real solutions that work for people and communities.
Among the key areas discussed during the meeting:
- joint educational, social, and communication events;
- development of awareness-raising initiatives;
- engagement of the expert community in supporting people affected by the war;
- preparing young people for modern challenges;
- development of volunteerism and civic engagement;
- cooperation in the implementation of state tax and veteran policy.
The issue of student volunteering and youth engagement in socially important processes was also discussed separately. In particular, Anna Klykman, Head of the University Student Self-Government, has joined on a permanent basis as an expert in the Committee on Communications, Internal and International Relations of the Public Council under the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Kharkiv region.
At CFSR, we believe that youth participation in social initiatives is not only about helping others. It is about building responsibility, leadership, practical experience, values, and inner resilience. It is this active youth who will shape a strong civil society and professional environment in Ukraine in the future.
There is much joint work, new initiatives, and important projects ahead. This is exactly the kind of case where cooperation between education, civil society, and practical experience can deliver far greater results than isolated efforts.
