Transparency, Accountability and Community Recovery Are a Priority for Kharkiv Region
Serhii Zhuk, Director of the “Revival Source” Charitable Foundation / CFSR, took part in the очередное meeting of the Regional Working Group “Transparency and Accountability,” held on behalf of the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Yevhen Ivanov and attended by representatives of civil society, law enforcement agencies, structural departments of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, district military administrations, and local self-government bodies.
During the meeting, together with the Head of the Natalyne Rural Military Administration, Oksana Vasylenko, participants reviewed the reconstruction project of part of the park area in the village of Natalyne, Berestyn district, including the development of modern sports and recreational facilities aimed at supporting veteran sports and active recreation for residents while adhering to accessibility and inclusivity principles.
Participants supported the initiative to integrate accessibility and barrier-free standards already at the planning stage of public-use facilities. In addition, Working Group member and Head of the Coordination Humanitarian Center, Yevhen Koliada, confirmed the organization’s readiness to provide specialists for consultations on accessibility and inclusivity during project implementation.
Special attention was also given to providing the Bohodukhiv community with cargo and passenger electric vehicles to support community needs and critical infrastructure. Bohodukhiv Mayor Volodymyr Bielyi outlined the current challenges and urgent needs faced by the community during wartime.
Additionally, Head of the Staryi Saltiv Settlement Military Administration Anton Paliei informed participants about the condition of local treatment facilities and emphasized the importance of developing project documentation for the reconstruction of wastewater treatment facilities in the settlement of Staryi Saltiv, Chuhuiv district.
During the meeting, Yevhen Ivanov stressed that the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration maintains a principled position regarding the efficient use of budget funds, justified procurement processes, and oversight of infrastructure recovery and community development projects.
The “Revival Source” Charitable Foundation / CFSR emphasized that Ukrainian society today has an exceptionally strong demand for justice, transparency, and inevitable accountability for corruption at all levels. Therefore, ensuring government openness, effective cooperation with civil society, and continuous oversight of resource use remains critically important, especially during wartime and community recovery efforts.
