Mediation as a Tool for Team Resilience

On June 6–7, the team of the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR) took part in a two-day training course on mediation, conducted by trainer Olena Parkhomenko.
During the training, participants worked with topics that help better understand the nature of conflicts, choose constructive ways to respond, apply the principles of mediation, active listening, empathic communication, and maintain dialogue in difficult situations.
Special attention was paid to practical exercises, analysis of real cases from the activities of the charitable organization, and finding solutions that may be useful in the team’s daily work, interaction with partners, volunteers, communities, and people who need support.
During the war, conflict resolution skills are of particular importance, as high levels of stress, fatigue, and emotional tension affect communication between people.
“Now, when the level of tension is very high, it is important to be able not to escalate conflict, but to hear each other and seek solutions through dialogue,” said Oleh Hrynenko, volunteer of the Foundation.
For the CFSR team, such training is part of professional development, strengthening internal resilience, and building a culture of mutual respect, responsible communication, and constructive interaction.
The project “Path to Resilience” is implemented by the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” within the framework of the project “Phoenix: Power of Communities”, implemented by East Europe Foundation with the support of the European Union.
