Social workers of the Pechenizka community enhanced their skills in preventing professional burnout

On March 27 and 30, 2026, offline training sessions on the prevention of professional burnout were held in the Pechenizka community of Kharkiv Oblast. The events were organized by the Charitable Organization “Charitable Foundation ‘Source of Revival’” (CFSR) within the framework of the project “Basic Social Support and Capacity Building of Social Service Centers in Communities.”
Employees of the community Social Service Center took part in the trainings. The sessions were aimed at supporting specialists working under conditions of increased emotional stress. During the trainings, participants explored the stages of professional burnout, its causes, and practiced techniques for self-regulation, restoration of internal resources, and stress reduction. Special attention was given to practical exercises, including art therapy and body-oriented techniques.
The Head of the Pechenizka Settlement Military Administration, Oleksandr Husarov, noted:
“In the current conditions, it is extremely important to support not only community residents but also professionals who work with people every day. Such activities help maintain professional resilience and effectively perform their duties.”
The Director of the Social Service Center, Nataliia Karpenko, emphasized:
“Social workers are in constant interaction with people facing difficult life circumstances, so taking care of their own emotional state is a necessary condition for providing quality services. The practical tools gained during the training are extremely valuable for daily work.”
The trainings contributed to strengthening the professional resilience of Social Service Center staff and improving the quality of social service delivery in the community. The project team sincerely thanks the participants for their active engagement, openness to learning, and willingness to develop for the well-being of community residents.
