Introductory Meeting with the Protection Cluster Coordinator in Kharkiv Oblast
Recently, an introductory meeting took place at the office of the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR) with the Protection Cluster Coordinator in Kharkiv Oblast, Ms. Olena Velichko.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Foundation, Serhii Zhuk, and Deputy Director Kateryna Melnykova. The participants discussed the current humanitarian situation in the region, key protection challenges, and the urgent needs of communities affected by the war.
Particular attention was given to strengthening coordination, improving information sharing, and exploring opportunities for future cooperation in delivering social and protection services.
Key areas of discussion:

- ⚖️ Legal assistance (documentation, IDPs, compensation)
- 👨👩👧 Case management for vulnerable families
- 🚸 Child Protection
- 🚺 Gender-Based Violence (GBV) response
- 👴 Support for elderly people and persons with disabilities
- 💳 Financial assistance for war-affected populations
The Foundation also highlighted challenges related to providing timely and high-quality logistics support for vulnerable groups. In particular, the discussion covered the transportation of children during the rehabilitation and recreation season on a humanitarian basis.
As a result of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of enhanced coordination among humanitarian actors in the region and agreed to continue dialogue and cooperation.
The dialogue was extensive, meaningful, and constructive.
