Veterans, Communities, Opportunities: Working Together for Accessibility and Inclusion

As part of the National Accessibility Week, a productive and constructive working meeting took place between the team of the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR) and Hryhorii Panaetov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Entrepreneurship Support Fund.

The meeting was attended by Serhii Zhuk, Director of the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR), Kateryna Melnykova, Deputy Director, and Viktor Zhuk, CFSR Emergency Response and Humanitarian Operations Coordinator.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current areas of cooperation in the development of an accessible environment, as well as the implementation of joint projects and initiatives aimed at increasing access to services, opportunities, and public spaces for all people.

Particular attention was paid to supporting veterans and their family members. Participants explored opportunities to strengthen entrepreneurial potential, promote self-realization, increase economic participation, and create additional opportunities for the successful adaptation and integration of veterans into civilian life.

The discussion also covered practical aspects of implementing accessibility principles, ranging from physical accessibility of facilities and services to the creation of an inclusive, comfortable, and dignified environment in which every person, regardless of age, health condition, life circumstances, or level of mobility, has equal access to opportunities and services.

Accessibility is not only about infrastructure. Above all, it is about respect for human dignity, equal opportunities, and a modern approach to societal development that places people at its center.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to formalize their long-standing cooperation in the near future through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR) and the Kharkiv Regional Entrepreneurship Support Fund.

An open discussion, constructive dialogue, shared vision, and willingness to cooperate once again confirmed that meaningful positive change for people and communities can be achieved through the combined efforts of civil society, public institutions, and partner organizations.
