In August, CFSR Provided Safe Transportation for 640 Children
In August 2026 alone, buses of the Charitable Foundation “Source of Revival” (CFSR) made 14 trips and provided safe transportation for 640 children — not including trips carried out in the previous months of this year.
The trips were carried out at the request of the Relief Coordination Centre and the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. The Relief Coordination Centre also supported the transportation through coordination and fuel provision.
A significant part of the August routes involved transporting children from Kharkiv to Poltava for their onward travel to programmes focused on health improvement, recreation, psychological recovery, rehabilitation, and social support, as well as bringing them back from Poltava to Kharkiv after completing these programmes.
The need for such routes is related to the current security situation. According to the letter of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” dated 13.03.2026 No. ПК-28/744, organised groups of children from frontline regions are temporarily departing from regions where the security situation is more controlled. For this reason, organised groups of children from Kharkiv Oblast continue their onward journeys from Poltava.
Under these conditions, the CFSR team provides an important part of the route — safe transportation of children from Kharkiv to Poltava and, after completion of the programmes, their return to Kharkiv.
In addition, in August the Foundation’s buses made two trips between Zaporizhzhia and Kirovohrad Oblast — in both directions.
Among the children for whom transportation was organised were those requiring special social attention and support, including children of fallen servicemen and servicewomen, children of combat veterans, orphans, and other children from socially vulnerable groups.
During every trip, the safety of children remains the CFSR team’s main priority. Routes are planned taking into account the current security situation, while transportation is organised in coordination with accompanying adults and partners.
Behind every such trip is much more than a route and a number of passengers. It is an opportunity for children to safely reach a place where they can rest, recover, receive psychological support, gain new experiences, and have the space they need to recover from what they have been through, and then return home after completing the programme.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to everyone involved in organising and supporting children’s groups, in particular the Patrol Police Department of the Kharkiv Region and the Patrol Police Department of the Poltava Region, for their valuable contribution to ensuring safe transportation.
14 trips, 640 children — and on every route, one thing remains the priority: to safely transport children to where they can receive the support and recovery they need, and bring them back home.
