Social workers of the Prolisnenska community enhanced their skills in preventing professional burnout

On March 16 and 18, 2026, offline trainings on the prevention of professional burnout were held in the Prolisnenska community, organized by the Charitable Foundation «Dzherelo Vidrodzhennya» within the framework of the project «Basic Social Support and Capacity Building of Social Service Centers in Communities».

34 participants took part in the events. The training was aimed at supporting social workers who work under conditions of increased emotional stress. During the trainings, participants learned about the stages of professional burnout, its causes, and practiced practical self-regulation techniques, resource recovery, and stress reduction. Particular attention was paid to practical exercises, including art therapy and body-oriented techniques.

The head of the Prolisnenska settlement military administration, Serhii Kotenko, noted: “In the current conditions, it is important not only to support the residents of the community, but also to take care of the specialists who work with people every day. Such trainings help social workers maintain their inner resources and effectively perform their work.”

The trainer on professional burnout prevention, Olena Parkhomenko, emphasized: “Social workers are in constant contact with human difficulties, so caring for their own emotional state is a necessary condition for providing quality help to others. We focused on practical tools that can be used daily.”

The conducted trainings contributed to increasing the professional resilience of specialists and improving the quality of social services in the community. The project team is sincerely grateful to all participants for their activity, openness to learning, and willingness to develop for the sake of the safety and well-being of the community residents.
